Quick Guide To The “Ratchet & Clank” Movie

So there is going to be a “Ratchet & Clank” movie. A game series that I have adored is coming to cinemas in 2015. I like that.

Made By:

It is being made by Rainmaker Entertainment“. Most people will know them as the ones that made “Barbie” direct-to-video/DVD/TV films. But they used to be called “Mainframe Entertainment Inc” who made the TV series’ “Reboot“, “Transformers: Beast Wars“, “Heavy Gear“, “Hot Wheels World Race/AcceleRacers” and many others. As you can tell their programing was a chunk of my childhood.

They where re-named “Rainmaker” when they were merged with other companies in 2006. Some of them left during the merger and made “Nerd Corps Entertainment” who made “Storm Hawks” “Dragon Booster” and the new “Max Steel“. Yes I am a fan of Nerd Corps too. As a note, the guys in Nerd Corps made a few episodes of “Max Steel” when they where Mainframe so it hasn’t moved far. Anyway…

The Story:

The “Ratchet & Clank” (by the looks of it) will follow the story of the first game that was made by “Insomniac Games“. Ratchet is a Lombax, (a short, furry, mechanic) who is the last of his kind living alone on a planet  in the Solana Galaxy. Clank is a robot made for destruction. Or Is he? The story of Clank spans the Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 so saying may be too much. The bad guy is Chairman Drek who wants to create a new planet from parts of other planets. If your new to the series then there is one more person to mention from the trailer. The guy in green is Captain Quark. Leader of ‘The Galactic Rangers’, (Think Green Lantarn) but he is a bit… un-clever is the best word. Not stupid but he is no geinus. He has been the mascot of Insomnaic Games since the first game on the Playstation 2.
